melodie truchi

Melodie Truchi was born and raised in Camarillo, Ca. She grew up as a competitive dancer for 10+ years. After high school she had the opportunity to choreograph for different studios around ventura county. she graduated with the highest honors from Cal Lutheran University with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and emphasis in advertising and public relations. she had the opportunity to be a part of performances in l.a such as the international women's day festival. She also choreographed and performed for multiple shows in Ventura county such as the community's welcome to the 805 shows. alongside her passion for dance she has a strong passion for fitness. She has taught pure barre in Camarillo for over 3 years. she is also a certified group fitness trainer through ace.

the name motion grounds was inspired from her most impactful mentors who reminded her to stay grounded through dance. she strives to create art through movement and her main goal with motion grounds is to build a community for people in ventura county to be a part of.

Madison Pinherio

manager, contemporary, & beginner jazz

Madison Pinherio is from Camarillo where she trained in all styles and competed on a dance team for over 10 years. She has a Bachelor Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Cal Lutheran University, where she now has the pleasure to teach first grade at Beacon Hill Classical Academy. Madison was a part of the Cal Lu dance team for three years and was on cabinet her senior year. She has been teaching dance for 9+ years now. She has choreographed award winning group dances and solos for competition teams. She was the director of a children's dance program for 4 years where she was responsible for implementing dance lesson plans and curriculum to all classes. Motion Grounds has had the pleasure of having her on staff since the beginning. 

Zachary trette

Zachary Trette “ZTrette” Trotter. Born and raised in Oxnard, California. Former Undeclared Coach and Emanon Alumni. Now Directing and Coaching his new team at the Hip Hop Mindset Studio called Mindzet. He has taught at numerous locations those of which includes:

247Dance Force (Hawaii), The Vibe Dance Academy Hawaii (Hawaii), NIXPAC (Hawaii), Puzzlebox Dance Studio (Chicago), Legacy Creative Arts Studio (California), and the newest location Playground Downtown (California).

He currently teaches at Snowglobe (California) and Hiphop Mindset (California)

Kate Carmela

Barre

Kate is an ACE certified group fitness instructor and has been dancing since the age of six. She grew up as a competitive dancer and was on the pre-professional track for Ballet. She studied Ballet at Westside Ballet in LA, Santa Monica College, Bakersfield City Ballet, and took a summer intensive at State Street Ballet in Santa Barbara. She is trained in various styles of dance such as Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Jazz Funk, and Musical Theatre. At the age of 15, her first job was teaching dance at a small studio and continued teaching dance while
attending college. She joined her college’s dance team and became the Choreography Assistant at Biola Youth Theatre. In addition to Kate’s love for dance, she is passionate about fitness. In 2021, she started her own YouTube Fitness channel. She creates home workouts and dance fitness workouts for all levels. Dance and fitness are great ways to stay in shape. They are also a healthy way to express yourself, release stress, and help your mental health. She wants to help everyone live their best life through fitness and dance!

Delaney Rond

Line Dancing

Delaney is from Ventura, California. She has been dancing since she was very young and went on to compete on Thousand Oaks High School’s dance team. Throughout her time there, she served many leading roles including the position of co-captain her junior year and captain her senior year. After graduating high school, she went on to dance for California Lutheran University’s dance team for 2 years. Since then, she has danced in concept videos and live performances. Throughout her dance career she has trained in various styles such as jazz, contemporary, hip hop, ballet, and lyrical. She is currently studying Communications with and emphasis in Film and TV Production at Cal Lu. Delaney is still dancing and is excited to share her passion with a new wave of dancers.

Emily Valenzuela

Emily Valenzuela grew up in Moorpark California and has been dancing since she was seven years old. She began training under Pam Rossi's Dance Ten studio with ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary and lyrical being her main areas of focus. At the age of thirteen, she entered the competition dance world as well as being involved in the Moorpark Civics Ballet "The Nutcracker" for multiple years. Once entering high school, Emily also trained with Moorpark High school's dance team in the varsity section. Later on, she was accepted into the American Musical and Dramatic Academy where she worked with professionals like Adam Parson, Mackenzie Martin, Genevieve Carson, Marc Spaulding, Yusuf Nasir, Kyle McHargh, and so many more. At that point she had been exposed to a wide range of dance styles such as, hip hop, jazz funk, modern, Bollywood, and musical theater/broadway. Emily was exposed to many great opportunities such as becoming an "In-House" dancer/mentor under Emily Lutes, performing in Choreographer's Carnival under Chelsea Collins, and meeting a variety of talented artists. She has recently furthered her studies and training at Grand Canyon University, graduating summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in dance education along with a K-12 teaching certification. She is currently the assistant dance team coach for moorpark high school.

Shayli began dancing at the age of 9 and has trained in various styles such as jazz, tap, contemporary, lyrical, and ballet. Shayli has competed in several different styles throughout her dancing years, her favorite being tap! Shayli’s dancing continued with Rancho Campana High School, where she became one of the seven girls to form the high school’s competitive dance team which won two national titles their first year. After she graduated, she continued to share her passion by teaching at Dance Alliance. Shayli is going into her fourth year teaching there and absolutely loves getting to work with children of all ages.
